Description
Synopsis | A renowned writer, Jun-seop, returns to his rural hometown after learning that his 87-year-old mother, who had suffered from dementia for years has passed away. As the funeral unfolds, grief, resentment, and relief surfaces among family members, especially his sister-in-law, who had long cared for Jun-seop’s mother. Meanwhile, a journalist observing the funeral seeks to reinterpret Jun-seop’s literary world through his mother’s death. Throughout all the rituals, old wounds slowly begin to heal. By the funeral’s end, the family comes to understand the quiet love and wisdom Jun-seop’s mother has left behind.
