The Arts East-West public awards winners have been announced! The top-voted works were awarded a $100 cash prize (a total of 4 prizes) and a bojagi, a practical linen cloth brought from Korea that is used to cover and contain items such as gifts, foods, beds, and tables. There is one award for each of the following KFFC 2024 film categories:

1) “East Meets West” –– Jeong Jae-eun's Take Care of My Cat
2) “Side by Side” –– Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Cemetery of Splendour
3) “Spotlight: Asian Québécois Films and Media Arts” –– Fanny Lord-Bourcier’s Abby‍
4) “Asian Short Films and Media Arts“–– Yoriko Mizushiri’s Anxious Body

Congratulations to all of our winners and their impressive contributions to our festival, and special mention to Xiaodan He’s My Father’s Journey (“Spotlight), and Anthony Shim’s Riceboy Sleeps (“Side by Side”).
