Annabelle Kang
Assistant Director

Hello, I’m Annabelle Kang and I’m excited to join Arts East-West as an assistant director! Born and raised in Toronto, I came to Montreal for my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, where I am currently pursuing my research interests in North-South Korea relations, film and cultural studies at McGill University's English Literature MA program. I believe that organizations like Arts East-West are important to bridge the worlds of academics, cultural workers, artists, activists, and community organizers to unleash our individual and collective possibilities as Asian and pan-Asian Canadians. Une humanité, une lutte!
Heejung Yang
Korean Content Manager

Hello! I am Heejung Yang. I’m a native Korean with experience in content production and distribution in the Korean media industry. I came to Montreal to apply my experiences and have new challenges in the sector of media outside of Korea. As a fan of Korean films and media, I am very excited to join the Arts East West team for the 11th KFFC as a Korean content manager. With the team, I want to successfully showcase many Korean films at the 11th KFFC to diverse communities in Montreal!
Yoon Ha Cho
Administrative Assistant

Hello, I'm Yoon Ha Cho and I am happy to join Arts East-West as an administrative assistant! Originally from Korea, I've spent half of my life immersed in the culture of France. Now, I'm thrilled to kick off a new adventure in Montreal with the Korean Film Festival Canada. With a background steeped in cultural exploration and a penchant for the arts, I'm excited to be part of the festival's team and contribute my experiences to its community.
John Nong
Sponsorship and Social Media Intern

Greetings from the Arts East-West team! I am a recent Film Studies graduate from Concordia University.
I traveled halfway around the world to study, which led me to fall in love with the city of festivals and arts.
My interests in the diasporic experience of pan-Asian immigrants’ portrayals in media perfectly aligns with Arts East-West’s mission, ultimately drawing me to the organization and now contributing as the marketing intern at AEW.
Lehna Dahdouh
Social Media and Hospitality Intern

Hi! My name is Lehna Dahdouh and I'm happy to be joining Arts East-West as a communications and social media intern for the 11th KFFC. Originally from France, I came to Montreal for my undergraduate studies, where I'm currently studying International Studies at the University of Montreal. I first became interested in Korean and Asian culture, and media content in high school. As my interest has grown, I'm thrilled to be learning more about these cultures as part of the Arts East West team and gaining experience in communications, a field I particularly enjoy. Overall, I'm very enthusiastic about contributing to this project and its success.
AnnaClare Sung
Media Relations and Communications Intern

Hi, I’m AnnaClare Sung and I am delighted to join the Arts-East West team this summer as a media relations and communications intern. Right now, I’m concluding my third year at McGill University, where I am working towards a degree in Cultural Studies, English Literature, and Communications Studies. As someone from an interracial family, I’ve always found the fostering of cross-cultural relationships incredibly important. Doing so using art, namely film, as common ground excites me immensely; I am so honoured to join Arts-East West in their mission to bring East Asian film and culture to the Montreal community.
Ugyong Choi
Consultant for Korean Content

Hello, my name is Ugyong Choi but my team calls me June. I have been with the Korean Film Festival Canada from the 7th to the 11th this year. I've been in charge of Korean content. I was able to learn many things by joining the festival team, and I was happy to be with them. I look forward to an even better festival next year.
