The 11th KFFC’s screening of My Father’s Journey (2020, Québec) by Xiaodan He will take place at Dazibao on

📍Thursday, May 23rd from 6:00 PM to 7:20 PM, followed by director Xiaodan He’s in-person ART-Talks.

Also, we will screen Time of Seeds by SEOL Suan on📍 Friday, May 24th from 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM, curated by Mi-Jeong Lee.

My Father’s Journey is a documentary film by Chinese Québécois artist Xiaodan He. This moving, personal feature film tells the story of Chong Ren He, a descendant of the Naxi, one Chinese minority with a population of 300,000. My Father’s Journey won the People’s Choice award in Canada China International Film Festival (2023).

My Father’s Journey (2020, Québec) is part of KFFC’s “Spotlight” film category, curated by Mi-Jeong Lee.

Time of Seeds (2023, South Korea) by SEOL Suan which is a poignant yet powerful documentary about soil workers. This documentary film was screened at the International Documentary Film Festival (2022).
