As we gear up for the 12th edition of the Korean Film Festival in Canada (KFFC), we feature a selection of films presented by the esteemed Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA).
Established in 1984 by the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), KAFA stands as South Korea's premier film institution, dedicated to cultivating the next generation of filmmakers. With a rigorous and immersive curriculum, KAFA has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of Korean cinema. Over the years, KAFA has produced over 800 graduates who have significantly contributed to the industry. Notably, the academy boasts alumni such as: Bong Joon Ho and Jang Man-min
KAFA's commitment to hands-on training ensures that students are well-equipped to bring compelling stories to life. Their programs emphasize real-world experience, with students producing both short and feature-length films during their tenure.
