AAPlab’s Asian Diaspora Book Collective (ADBC) held our first two meetings on Part 1 of Joseph Han’s novel Nuclear Family. We discussed how Nuclear Family deals with themes related to the Korean American diaspora, generational hauntings, the DMZ, and the role of media in North-South Korea relations.

Our biweekly online Zoom meetings in May will take place on the following Saturdays at 11 AM - 12 PM EST: May 4th and May 18th.

Our next book will be Song of Ariran by Kim San and Nym Wales. Stay tuned for our exciting in-person networking event for the ADBC on May 29th at Ada X!
