The line-up for the 11th KFFC 2024 Asian Short Films and Media Arts Program #2 is here!

These screenings will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at Dazibao art center.

Yesterday (2023) / Elmira Laki / SEOLMUNDAE (2023) / Maïté Minh Tâm Maeum Jeannolin / The Spirit Keepers of Makuta’ay (2019) / Yen Chao Lin / Burial of this Order (2023) / Jane Jin Kaisen / Voyages dans nos Indes intérieures (2019) / Daphné LeSergent / Abby (2023) / Fanny Lord-Bourcier

Short films such as Yesterday (2023) and SEOLMUNDAE (2023) deal with themes of migration, displacement, and diasporic perspectives. The Spirit Keepers of Makuta’ay (2019) and Burial of this Order (2023) create unique spiritual landscapes in their treatments of funeral rites, prayers, and collective sociality represented on film. Voyages dans nos Indes intérieures (2019) narrates on European colonialism en route to the East Indies, and Abby (2023) is about a transracial adoptee who sees her experience reflected in her newly adopted dog.
