This film is inspired by director HOU’s upbringing in Taiwan while living through the deaths of his father, mother, and grandmother.
KFFC pays tribute to HOU’s lifetime contributions and achievements in cinema as a retired mainland Chinese-born Taiwanese film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. He still vividly remains as a leading figure in world cinema and in Taiwan’s New Wave cinema movement.
