12th KFFC Opening Screenings

April 7, 2025

Catch the THREE FILMS in the OPENING on the 12th KFFC on May 22 at Cinéma du Musée

INCOHERENCE (Bong Joon Ho, 1994, 31min) – KAFA Presents: Before Parasite and Memories of Murder, Bong Joon-ho directed Incoherence at KAFA as his thesis film. This biting satire on social hypocrisy connects three vignettes—an academic scandal, a strange jogger, and a milk thief—culminating in a punchline that exposes our contradictions. Incoherence is an early glimpse into Bong's signature style—a window into the future master's mind.

SILVER APRICOT (Jang Man-min, 2025) "When I lost my heart's roots in 2018, I went to the East Sea. After returning several times, I felt like my hometown," says Director Jang. The film explores relationships with their own roots. Silver Apricot is KAFA's first 2025 Korean release and Jang Man-min's debut feature. One of Korea's most promising emerging directors, Jang developed his craft at KAFA. His short film "Hysteria" won Best Film of Absolute Nightmare at the 17th Mise-en-scene Film Festival (2018).

Both stunning KAFA graduate films will be accompanied by the Canadian animation "SEA, CARRY MY DREAM" (2024) by acclaimed Asian Canadian director Masoud Raouf.
