"Time of Seeds" gazes into the lives of the farmers who have been saving the seeds passed down for ages. Their daily work is in the end the arc of what we're losing now. The film shifts focus to the agricultural landscape, documenting the changes in the land through the 24 solar terms. The film intimately captures the labor of elderly farmers engaged in seed harvesting, emphasizing the challenges of the harvest and their dedication to preserving native plant species. Through repetitive yet eloquent sequences, the documentary portrays scenes of farmers planting seeds, tending to garlic fields, and collecting corn kernels. It also explores the work of researchers involved in collecting native seeds.
